Mark Sahady is a dedicated veteran advocate, former U.S. Army Captain, and technology professional who bridges military service with innovation. His commitment to veteran engagement is driven by firsthand experience and a deep understanding of the needs and challenges facing today’s service members.
Mark served with distinction in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, where he was appointed Battle Captain and Safety Officer for his battalion. Over the course of his military career in the U.S. Army Reserve, he held multiple leadership roles, including:
- Platoon Leader of a vertical construction unit
- Commander of a firefighting detachment
- Observer/Controller/Trainer, supporting the development of future leaders and units
His continued commitment to service is evident through his active membership in both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), where he is a member of the board at the local level.
As a software engineer, Mark specializes in building microservices and sofware as a service platforms. He holds a Bachelors of Science in computer science and a Bachelors of Arts in mathematics from Syracuse University.
In his role at Impact Ventures Corporation, Mark leads outreach efforts designed to connect veterans with critical resources, community support, and pathways to housing, health services, and personal growth.
